Terms of Service

Last updated: August 13, 2026

These terms apply when you book a session, buy a package, or use this website. Booking a session means you have read and agreed to them.

1. What I do, and what I do not do

I am a somatic facilitator and coach. I hold the following training:

  • Certified Psychosomatic Practitioner, Integrative Psychology Institute

  • Parts Therapy Certification, Integrative Psychology Institute

  • Elemental Breathwork and Somatics Teacher Training

  • Reiki, Usui lineage, Level II

I am not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, physician, or any other licensed healthcare provider. I am not licensed by the State of California, the State of New York, or any other jurisdiction as a mental health or medical provider, and my practice is not regulated by any licensing board.

My work is educational and supportive. It is not:

  • Psychotherapy

  • Diagnosis or treatment of any mental health or medical condition

  • Medical advice

  • Crisis or emergency support

  • A substitute for therapy, psychiatric care, or medical treatment

Sessions are not covered by health insurance and are not eligible for reimbursement.

If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, do not contact me. Call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

If something you bring to a session needs clinical care, I will tell you, and I may decline to continue until you have appropriate support in place.

2. Who can book

You must be 18 or older and located in the United States. You are responsible for confirming that this work is appropriate for you, and for consulting a physician if you have any medical condition that might be affected by breathing practices, physical movement, or lying down for extended periods.

Tell me before your first session if you have any of the following, as some practices may need to be modified or avoided:

  • Cardiovascular conditions, including high blood pressure

  • Respiratory conditions

  • Epilepsy or seizure history

  • Pregnancy

  • Recent surgery or injury

  • Glaucoma or retinal detachment

  • A history of psychosis, dissociation, or a diagnosed mental health condition

  • Any medication that affects your heart rate, blood pressure, or nervous system

This is not an exhaustive list. When in doubt, tell me.

3. Sessions

Online sessions run 75 minutes over video. You will need a private space where you can lie down and close the door, a reliable internet connection, and headphones.

In-person Reiki sessions run 75 minutes and take place at your home, by arrangement. These sessions involve light touch, or hands held just above the body.

For in-person sessions:

  • You will be fully clothed throughout

  • Touch is limited to hands, shoulders, back, feet, and head unless you and I have agreed otherwise in advance

  • Touch is never sexual, and any suggestion otherwise ends the session immediately

  • You can ask me to stop, adjust, or work without contact at any point, for any reason, without explanation

  • I will confirm consent before beginning and check in during the session

You may withdraw consent to any part of any session at any time. Ending a session early does not entitle you to a refund except where I have ended it.

4. Fees and payment

Current rates are listed at estherchelladurai.com. Payment is due at the time of booking unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

The 15-minute consultation is free and carries no obligation on either side.

5. Packages

Packages of 3, 6, and 10 sessions are available at the rates listed on the site.

  • Packages are valid for 120 days from the date of purchase. Sessions not used within that window expire and are not refundable or transferable.

  • Packages are for your use only and cannot be shared or gifted.

  • If circumstances outside your control prevent you from using your sessions, contact me. I will consider extensions case by case, at my discretion.

6. Cancellation and rescheduling

Cancellations and rescheduling requests require at least 24 hours' notice.

  • With sufficient notice: the session is returned to your package or rescheduled at no charge.

  • With less than the required notice, or a no-show: the session counts as used.

  • If I need to cancel or reschedule, you will not lose the session, and I will offer you the next available time.

For in-person sessions, late cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice counts as used, since the time and travel are already committed.

7. Refunds

  • The free consultation involves no payment and no refund question.

  • Single sessions are refundable if cancelled with the required notice before the session takes place.

  • Packages are refundable within 7 days of purchase, for the value of unused sessions, less the full list price of any sessions already taken.

  • After 7 days, packages are non-refundable.

  • Expired package sessions are not refundable.

If I am unable to continue working with you for any reason, I will refund the value of your unused sessions in full.

8. Confidentiality

What you say in sessions stays between us. I do not discuss clients by name with anyone.

There are limits. I may disclose information without your consent where:

  • You tell me you intend to seriously harm yourself or someone else

  • I have reasonable cause to suspect abuse or neglect of a child, an elderly person, or a dependent adult

  • I am required to by a court order or by law

Because I am not a licensed practitioner, our conversations are not protected by therapist-client privilege and could be subject to subpoena. This is an important difference between this work and therapy, and you should understand it before you begin.

I may discuss anonymised aspects of our work in professional supervision or consultation, with identifying details removed.

9. Transcription, recording, and AI

Online sessions are transcribed by default. I use Google Meet's built-in transcription to support my notes. This is stated in your calendar invite, confirmed with you before your first session, and prompted by the platform at the start of each session.

You can decline transcription at any point, for one session or permanently, without giving a reason and without it affecting our work.

Transcripts are stored in my paid Google Workspace account and deleted 120 days after our last session.

I use AI assistants to summarise session notes and track patterns across my practice. Names and direct identifiers are removed first, though session content can still be identifying to someone who knows you. You can ask that your notes stay out of this process entirely.

I do not video record sessions. If I ever ask to record one for certification or supervision, I will tell you who would hear it and why, and you are free to say no.

You may not record sessions without my consent.

In-person Reiki sessions are not transcribed or recorded.

10. Testimonials, case studies, and your data

I will never publish anything about you, quote you, or describe our work publicly without your specific written permission for that specific use.

If I ask to write about our work in a case study, I will show you the draft before anything is published, tell you exactly what would appear, and you can decline or withdraw at any point before publication.

If I ever propose collecting wearable or biometric data as part of our work, that will be a separate written agreement, entered into voluntarily, and it will not be a condition of working together.

11. What you are responsible for

  • Giving me accurate information about your health and your circumstances

  • Telling me if something changes

  • Deciding what to do with anything that comes up in a session

  • Your own wellbeing and safety, including having appropriate professional support in place if you need it

  • Your physical environment during online sessions, including having a safe space to lie down

You participate voluntarily. You can stop at any time.

12. No guarantees

This work depends on you, on what you bring, and on factors neither of us controls. I do not promise any particular outcome, result, or timeline. Nothing on this website or in our conversations should be read as a guarantee.

Individual experiences described in testimonials on this site are that person's experience and are not a prediction of yours.

13. Ending the working relationship

Either of us can end it at any time, for any reason.

I may decline to continue working with you if I believe the work is not appropriate for you, if you need care I am not qualified to provide, or if the working relationship is not functioning. If I end it, I will refund any unused sessions.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, my total liability arising out of or relating to these services is limited to the amount you paid for the sessions in question.

I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

15. Website content

Everything on estherchelladurai.com is educational and general. It is not personal advice and reading it does not create a working relationship between us.

Written content on the site is mine. Please do not reproduce it without permission. Some imagery on the site was generated using AI tools.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that state.

17. Changes

I may update these terms. The version in effect when you book is the version that applies to that booking. Significant changes affecting current clients will be communicated directly.
